Keith Olbermann
KeithOlbermann is essentially invites the press to do its most basic job.
What if the media stopped treating the blatant and embarrassing lies spewing from Trump and his team like valid arguments that deserve respectful air time? Keith Olbermann’s lays out a plan for how they could easily do so: “Stop covering his speeches live. Use a delay. Employ a team of fact checkers. Play his rants. Each time he lies, stop the tape, state the facts.”
In addition, Olbermann calls for an effective media boycott of “Kellyanne ‘Con-Job’” and Trump’s propaganda machine. Olbermann also asks the press to do its most basic job: “In a time when democracy is being rapidly sabotaged by a lunatic president and his amoral flying monkeys like Conway and Spicer - your market and, incidentally, your obligation as citizens in that bleeding democracy - are identical: to identify the lies and refute them twice as often as they are told.”
Olbermann is essentially inviting the press to do its primary job: check facts, and stop treating outright lies as if they’re in any way legitimate.
