Guido Cadorin
Guido Cadorin (1892 - 1978) was a Venetian artist who was born into a family of artists, sculptors and architects. He was an important figure in both the Art Nouveau and the Magic Realism art movements in Europe. His works were represented in some of world's major artistic events in Italy (1911), Milan (1923), Amsterdam and Rotterdam (1924), New York (1925) and Brussels (1930). From 1928 to 1968, He taught decorating and painting at the Academy of Venice. In 1932 and 1942, he took part in the Venice Biennale. And in 2007, in a Venice exhibition he displayed some of his finest portraits, a 1968 self-portrait, his 1914 triptych, some of his original and innovative drawings and some of his newer works. The importance of Guido Candorin is his new and trend-setting approach to Art Nouveau and in general to the art of his time.
